Background of the Study

Tinuy-an is a 3-tiered falls with a confirmed height of 55 meters and an astounding width of 95 meters. It is usually dubbed as "The Niagara Falls of the Philippines", and "The Philippines' Little Niagara". It is ao the widest waterfalls in the country and is commonly referred to as one of the most beautiful scenic spots in  the CARAGA Region. Its name came from the native root word, "Tuyo" which is defined as, mean, so Tinuy-an literally means "You mean to go there"   It was even featured in the International Travel Magazine.

Aside from its astounding and flashing beauty, Tinuy-an Falls also sports a wide variety of flora and fauna living around it. Diptherocarp trees, orchids, ferns, and vines are all present within the vicinity of Tinuy-an. Nature was awesome enough to craft a beautiful stone riverbed and every 9:00-11:00 AM, a rainbow inevitably forms around the falls.

People from far away places such as tourists and those people who came from the other Phillipine Islands, Luzon and Visayas. These people had gone through the hassle of travel just to see Tinuy-an. It doesn't disappoint, however, because whatever tiredness these people feel, it just fades after they see Tinuy-an. It helps that the community is very friendly and helpful. The Filipino's core values emanates from the community through its hospitality and generosity, as expected of a true Filipino.

Bisliganons, the term for the local people, are proud of Tinuy-an, and with good reason. It serves as a window to the world, not only locally, but nationally. A fine treasure indeed.
