Surigao del Sur had always been known for its abundance of beautiful scenic views and tourist spots. Many of these tourist spots generate large revenues for the province's economy. However, two of these stand out above the others, Tinuy-an, and Cagwait White Beach. These two are the most prominent scenic spots in all of Surigao del Sur. The more prominent of these two, however, is a waterfall. This waterfall proved to be an awesome economic factor and contributed to the prominence of its patron city, Bislig.

Despite the degradation of economy due to the City's main economic corporation, PICOP (Paper Industry Corporation of the Philippines), Bislig City remained stable, thanks to the other economic factors that allowed business ventures to grow. One of the major contributors for the steady economic growth is what is dubbed "The Philippines' little Niagara" or "The Niagara Falls of the Philippines", Tinuy-an Falls.

However, aside from it's beauty, Tinuy-an has quite a lot more, behind the scenes.

The research team aims to unearth the wonders behind Tinuy-an's blinding beauty and to make it well known to the public and share its beauty with the rest of the country.
